dijon sirloin tips


a variation from classic beef tips. i got this recipe several years ago out of taste of home magazine.

  • Carbohydrates: 491.9

  1. Preheat oven to 300f
  2. In a large skillet
  3. Brown meat in butter and oil
  4. Transfer to a 2 quart baking dish
  5. In same skillet
  6. Saut mushrooms and garlic until mushrooms are tender
  7. About 3 minutes
  8. Pour mushrooms and liquid over meat
  9. Cover and bake for 2 hours or until meat is tender
  10. In same skillet combine broth
  11. Vinegar and soy sauce
  12. Bring to a boil
  13. Boil for two minutes and set aside
  14. Combine mustard
  15. Cornstarch and cream
  16. Stir into broth mixture
  17. Return to heat and boil for two minutes
  18. Stirring constantly
  19. Drain juices from baking dish into broth mixture
  20. Cook over medium heat
  21. Stirring constantly
  22. Until thickened and bubbly
  23. Add beef and mushroom to cream mixture
  24. Serve over hot cooked egg noodles
