this was so good. original recipe comes from peggy vdouj from our community cookbook for patrick cox, the teenager that died of a heart attack. i love brandy so you might want to start with 1/4 cup but i used 1/2.
the hot sauce and brown sugar are a nice combination, and it is really different with the deli ham and ground pork added to the ground beef. i recently discovered this, after "rediscovering" meatloaf, and this is very good.
whenever i prepare dinner for a friend (new baby, death in family, etc.), i always include this yummy pie, along with a carton of cool whip. it's the perfect ending to any meal. (prep time does not include chilling).
from the book, joyce lamont's favorite minnesota recipes & radio memories. this really sounds wonderful! pork sausage can be substituted for ground beef if desired and can be easily doubled for company or parties.
i was invited to a fondue party and wanted to bring something different. i had remembered seeing something about banana wontons, but did not remember the specifics, so i decided on something simple, as i knew the oil fondue pot would also be used for meat
