diablo butter


flavoured butters captured my attention during zwt (along w/many other zwt players), so here's another for all of us to try. my source here is the alaska seafood marketing institute. this butter was suggested as a dipping sauce for crab legs, but would also work well for cajun-style grilled shrimp as a dipping sauce or even drizzled over lime-marinated shrimp ceviche. i suspect i've just begun to explore the options. enjoy!

  1. Place butter in microwave-safe bowl & microwave on high power for 1 minute or till melted
  2. Blend in mustard & hot pepper sauce to taste

a recipe i found from heinz. a great different way to make savoury scrolls, and not hard at all. these are served hot but are just as nice cold and they make a great snack on the weekend. my kids even like these served warm for breakfast, topped with some baked bean scrolls

balsamic fried eggs with wilted greens in under 10 minutes

this recipe is sooo fast and easy and adds a very interesting flavour dimension to simple fried eggs! you can use dandelion greens, beet greens, escarole, or arugula. i personally love arugula. if you like onions, you can add some chopped onions to the balsamic fried eggs with wilted greens  in under 10 minutes
