  2. Cook the bacon for 3 to 5 minutes over medium-high heat until crisp
  3. Add the celery
  4. Carrots
  5. And onion
  6. And saute for 5 to 7 minutes
  7. Or until the onion is tender
  8. Stir frequently
  9. Add the remaining ingredients
  10. Cover
  11. And bring to a boil
  12. Reduce heat to low and simmer
  13. Covered
  14. For 45 to 55 minutes
  15. Or until the potatoes are tender
