i like this recipe a lot. it is one of the most crispy bread and butter pickles i have ever made my husband likes them also and i will continue making this year by year.

Steps

  1. Combine cucumber
  2. Onion and garlic in a bowl
  3. Sprinkle with pickling salt
  4. Cover with ice cubes and let stand at least 6 hours or overnight
  5. Drain well
  6. Combine vinegar
  7. Water
  8. Mustard seed
  9. Celery seed and tumeric in a large saucepan
  10. Bring to a boil and add drained cucumber mixture
  11. Return to boil and cook 2 minutes
  12. Discard garlic clove
  13. Stir in sweetner and put in sterilized jars
