i thought i had the best chocolate chip recipe but after trying these this morning i may have found a better one. soft, puffy and oh, so good. try 'em, you'll like ,em!

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and shortening
  2. Gradually add sugars
  3. Beating well
  4. Add egg and vanilla
  5. Beat well
  6. Combine dry ingredients
  7. Add to creamed mixture
  8. Beat well
  9. Stir in chips and pecans
  10. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar
  11. Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheet
  12. Bake 350 for 12 minutes
  13. Cool on wire racks
