Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees fareinheight
  2. Grease an 8 by 8 inch baking pan
  3. Combine flour and baking soda in a medium bowl
  4. Mix well
  5. In a seperate large bowl
  6. Use a mixer to blend the sugar and butter
  7. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy
  8. Then
  9. Add the flour mixture
  10. Chocolate chips
  11. And pecans if you decide to use them
  12. Blend at a low speed until just mixed
  13. Transfer the dough into the cooking pan and level it out
  14. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  15. But the center is still soft
  16. Cut into bars and enjoy !
