  1. In a large pot
  2. Heat oil over medium heat
  3. Add onion and garlic
  4. Cook and stir until onions are tender
  5. Just about 3 minutes
  6. Add chiles
  7. Taco seasoning mix and ground beef
  8. Cook beef
  9. Stirring often
  10. About 5 minutes or until browned
  11. Add tomatoes
  12. Cinnamon
  13. Water
  14. Salsa
  15. Chocolate chips and almonds
  16. Stir to combine
  17. Bring to a boil
  18. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes
  19. Stir every 10-15 minutes to combine the flavors
  20. Add beans and heat an additional 15 minutes
