  1. In large bowl
  2. Combine chocolate wafer crumbs and butter
  3. Pat fimly into 9-inch springform pan
  4. Covering bottom and 2 1 / 2 inches up sides
  5. Chill
  6. Preheat oven to 325 degrees f
  7. Combine over hot water
  8. Chocolate chips and heavy cream
  9. Stir until morsels are melted and mixture is smooth
  10. Set aside
  11. In large bowl
  12. Combine cream cheese and sugar
  13. Beating untl creamy
  14. Add eggs
  15. One at a time
  16. Beating well after each addition
  17. Add chocolate mixture
  18. Cherry liqueur
  19. And vanilla
  20. Mix until blended
  21. Pour into prepared crust
  22. Bake at 325 degrees f
  23. For 60 minutes
  24. Turn oven off
  25. Let stand in oven with door ajar 1 hour
  26. Remove
  27. Cool completely
  28. Chill 24 hours
  29. Spread cherry pie filling over top of cheesecake leaving 1-inch from the edge
  30. Decorate edge with whipped cream
  31. If desired
