many years ago, i came across a recipe for chocolate carmelitas. but i did not copy it. when i asked if anyone knew about them, the answer i got was there is chocolate in the regular carmelita recipe (the chips). but the recipe i saw was more chocolatey than that. now at last i have come across a very chocolatey carmelita and it's an easy one, too. this may not be the same recipe, but it is a very good one. it starts with a box of brownie mix and with a few ingredients becomes a streusel-layered cookie that you can enjoy with a glass of cold milk. cheers! the recipe comes from the book brownie mix bliss by camilla v. saulsbury.
