  1. Optional: add 2 tbsp chocolate chips
  2. Reduce flour by 1 - 2 tsp if using all purpose
  3. Mix dry ingredients in a coffee mug
  4. Whisk egg white in a separate cup
  5. Add remaining wet ingredients
  6. Whisk to mix well
  7. If your applesauce is thick
  8. Dilute with a bit of water before using
  9. Add to dry ingredients
  10. Mix well
  11. Microwave 3 minutes on high
  12. "the cake will likely rise above the top of the cup but thats ok"
  13. Let stand 1 - 2 minutes to finish rising and cool slightly
  14. Run a knife around inside of cup
  15. If you diet allows it
  16. This is nice with a bit of vanilla ice cream
  17. Otherwise try it with some diet whipped topping
