chocolate butter fudge


this is a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth fudge that is rich, decadent, and wonderful! it is an adaptation of theresa/thunderbird's butter pecan fudge recipe #47187. (thanks theresa!)

  1. "if your pecans arent toasted
  2. Youll want to do that first - you can do that by throwing them in a skillet with a couple tbsp butter and sprinkling them with brown sugar - cook them over medium heat until brown"
  3. Allow them to cool on wax paper while you make the fudge
  4. Please
  5. Grease an 8x8 pan
  6. In large pot
  7. Put butter
  8. Cream
  9. Sugar
  10. Salt
  11. And ground chocolate and over medium heat stirring frequently until boiling lightly
  12. Reduce heat slightly - just enough to keep a low boil - and continue boiling for 5 minutes stirring constantly
  13. After 5 minutes
  14. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla then powdered sugar
  15. Beat until smooth
  16. Add pecans and pour into 8x8 pan
  17. Cool for 30 min or until set (put it in the fridge for faster setting
  18. Slice and enjoy :)
  19. A fun modification to the recipe is to prepare it without the pecans
  20. Allow it to set until soft
  21. Then roll into one inch balls
  22. Put them in the freezer until hard
  23. And then roll them in melted white
  24. Milk or dark chocolate chips
  25. Then allow them to set
  26. The white chocolate set the best
