chocolate brownies with hot fudge sauce


this is a recipe that i combined out of existing recipezaar recipes, changed a few things though.

  1. Brownies: preheat oven to 180c or 350f
  2. Cook the sugar
  3. Margarine and cocoa powder on stove over medium until the margarine is melted
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Add eggs and vanilla
  6. Stir
  7. Add remaining ingredients
  8. Stir in nuts
  9. Put in greased 20cm square pan
  10. Bake at 180c or 350f for 25 minutes
  11. Sauce: combine melted margarine
  12. Sifted cocoa and water in a microwave proof bowl
  13. Blend in condensed milk with wire whisk
  14. Microwave on high for 1 minute
  15. Then whisk to blend
  16. Microwave 1 1 / 2 minutes more on high
  17. Add vanilla and blend with whisk completely
  18. Serve hot with brownies and ice-cream of choice
  19. To preserve: leave to cool
  20. Put in jar with lid and refrigerate
  21. To reheat: remove lid from jar and microwave
  22. If the sauce is too thick
  23. Add some water
