  1. Preheat oven to 325f and use muffin pan lined with paper liners
  2. In a small bowl
  3. Mix together flour
  4. Cocoa powder
  5. Baking powder and salt
  6. In a large bowl
  7. Whisk together granulated and brown sugars and butter until smooth
  8. Whisk in vanilla and almond extract
  9. Add eggs
  10. One at a time
  11. Beating well after each addition
  12. Add flour mixture
  13. Beating until combined
  14. Stir in chocolate chips
  15. Scoop batter into prepared pan
  16. Bake in preheated oven for 28 minutes or until a tester inserted into center comes out with a few crumbs attached and a little melted chocolate
  17. The tops of cupcakes will not spring back when touched
  18. Let cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes
  19. Remove from pan and let cool completely on rack
  20. Top cooled cupcakes with favorite frosting
