Steps

  1. In the top of a double boiler or a metal bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water
  2. Melt the chocolate
  3. Stirring occasionally until smooth
  4. While the chocolate is melting
  5. Line the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square baking pan with foil
  6. Leaving a 2-inch overhang
  7. Using a pastry brush
  8. Lightly brush the foil with vegetable oil
  9. When the chocolate is melted
  10. Remove it from the heat
  11. And stir in the fruit and nuts
  12. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan
  13. And spread it evenly with the back of a spoon or rubber spatula
  14. Place the pan in the refrigerator
  15. And chill for about an hour
  16. Or until the chocolate is firm
  17. If it is too chilled you will have trouble cutting it
  18. Use the foil overhang to lift the chilled chocolate mixture from the pan
  19. And place it on a cutting board
  20. Peel back the foil
  21. And cut the chocolate into whatever size you desire
