Steps

  1. Thaw berries if frozen
  2. But do not drain
  3. Combine berries
  4. 1 / 4 cup of the sugar and 2 tablespoons water
  5. Let stand 5 minutes
  6. In a 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan
  7. Melt butter in a 350 degree oven
  8. Stir together flour
  9. 3 / 4 cup sugar
  10. And baking powder
  11. Stir in milk
  12. Remove baking pan from oven and pour in batter
  13. Drizzle top of batter with chocolate syrup
  14. Spoon undrained berries on top
  15. "dont mix"
  16. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  17. Cool slightly
  18. If desired
  19. Top each serving with vanilla ice cream
