i love chocolate and angel food cake, so this seems like it would be awesome! i bet it would be good served with strawberries instead of the frosting, as well. cook time includes chilling the frosting, if making. zwt 3: u.s. (angel food cake)

  1. "cake: sift together the confectioners sugar
  2. Flour
  3. And cocoa three times"
  4. Set aside
  5. In a mixing bowl
  6. Beat egg whites
  7. Cream of tarter and salt until soft peaks form
  8. Add sugar
  9. 2 tbsp at a time
  10. Beating until stiff peaks form
  11. Gradually fold in the cocoa mixture
  12. About a fourth at a time
  13. Spoon into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan
  14. Carefully run a metal spatula or knife through batter to remove air pockets
  15. Bake on lowest oven rack at 375 for 35-40 minutes or until cracks in cake feel dry
  16. Immediately invert pan and cool completely
  17. Run a knife around edges of pan
  18. And along center tube
  19. To loosen and remove cake
  20. For frosting: combine all frosting ingredients
  21. Cover and chill for 1 hour
  22. Beat until stiff peaks form and spread over top and sides of cake
  23. Store frosted cake in the refrigerator
