  1. Steam the chinese broccoli
  2. Covered
  3. Over a large saucepan of boiling water for 2-3 minutes until just tender
  4. Drain and set aside
  5. Meanwhile
  6. Toss the scallops with 1 tablespoon of the chilli jam
  7. Heat a frypan over medium-high heat and add 1 teaspoon of the olive oil
  8. When hot
  9. Add the scallops and pan-fry for 1 minute on each side until just cooked
  10. Remove from the frypan and cover to keep warm
  11. Add remaining teaspoon of oil to pan and reduce heat to medium
  12. Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened
  13. Add remaining 1 / 2 tablespoon chilli jam and broccoli
  14. Tossing to coat
  15. Remove from heat and stir in soy
  16. Serve vegetables in bowls with scallops
