these feel more chinese than japanese in origin but a lot of modern japanese food has chinese influences. these work very well as a side with sushi.

this is something my grandma made at christmas. i don't know where she originally got the recipe but the recipe card for it has her handwriting on it. i call them german carrots because grandma's grandparents came over from germany. my family mostly eats

my hubby eats this stuff by the gallon it's good on anything. it's perfect with my pulled pork recipe. we use it on chicken, pork, even as a dip for homemade chicken fingers. i have no idea how many servings this has. i just put in a number.
dh's stepsister gave me this recipe years ago. we love shrimp and fix lots of shrimp dishes, dips and spreads. can't have a party without serving this one.must be refrigerated overnight.
