  1. In a medium sauce pan
  2. Melt butter over medium heat
  3. Add onion
  4. And heat until translucent
  5. Continue cooking over medium heat
  6. And mix in flour and whisk until smooth
  7. And slightly browned
  8. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously
  9. So to incoprate the milk
  10. Depending on your burner or the amount of flour you use
  11. You may need anywhere between 1 / 2- 3 / 4 cup of milk
  12. If after 2-3 minutes of cooking
  13. The mixture is too thin add a little more flour
  14. Or vice versa if mixture appears very thick you can add more milk
  15. It is best to start off with only 1 / 2 cup of liquids and use more as necessary
  16. When milk is completely incoprated
  17. And the mixture thickens add the cheese
  18. Continue stirring until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth
  19. Remove from heat
  20. Spring with tomato and pepper and mix
