Steps

  1. In a large pot
  2. Bring the water and salt to a boil
  3. Add the lentils
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 30 minutes or until the lentils are tender but not overcooked
  5. Drain
  6. In a colander
  7. Rinse the cooked lentils under cold water until slightly cool
  8. Then place them in a bowl
  9. Whisk together the remaining ingredients
  10. Pour over the lentils and combine well
  11. Chill for 1 to 2 hours and serve cold
