  1. In a r4-quart sucepan
  2. Mix water
  3. Sugar
  4. Cinnamon sticks & cloves
  5. Bring to boil over high heat
  6. Then add cranberries & return to a boil
  7. Reduce heat & cook until cranberries pop
  8. About 5 minutes
  9. Remove from heat & stir in lemon juice & orange zest
  10. Cool to room temperature
  11. Then chill about 4 hours in the refrigerator
  12. When ready to serve
  13. Top each bowl of soup with a dollop of sour cream
  14. Refrigerate any leftovers
