a neighbor brought these over as a thank-you gift when we helped them shovel out last winter. we all enjoyed them very much. original recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups sugar but cut back on it since we use it for a coffeecake.
this is just a variation of the way my dad used to make fried chicken. frying at high temperature for a short period of time (just enough to brown the outside) and then baking it to finish makes for incredibly tender and juicy chicken.
most german potato salads are made with mayo, but this one is not. it is by far better than any that i have made with mayo. you must try it! we make this to accompany recipe #112907. great for a summer party.
a very easy recipe for a "comfort-food". we threw this together when we all wanted something for a "nosh" and we used what we had on hand. this we did at a friend's house, where i had spent the day. very loosely based on a recipe of martha stewart's.
adapted from a recipe by nina hall at allrecipes.com. jellied cranberry sauce can be substituted for the whole-berry, but i think the whole-berry makes a much nicer sauce. note this recipe calls for a fresh beef brisket, not a "corned beef brisket"
