  1. Melt margarine in large heavy pot
  2. Add vegetables and saut until tender over medium-low heat
  3. Slowly sift flour over vegetables and let cook briefly
  4. Stirring regularly
  5. Do not let flour brown
  6. Slowly add chicken broth to vegetable-flour mixture
  7. Stirring constantly
  8. Add herbs
  9. Pepper sauce and parsley and stir well
  10. Simmer 10 minutes
  11. Stir in half-and-half
  12. Lemon juice and chicken
  13. Bring to simmer and cook 10 minutes
  14. Serve immediately
  15. Makes 3 quarts
