alice springs chicken quesadillas


i had this yesterday at outback and it is fantastic! what a great idea! if you love the alice springs chicken dish then you will love this! i use recipe #123522 for the base.

  1. With an electric mixer combine the mustard
  2. Honey
  3. And 1 tbsp oil
  4. And lemon juice for 1 minute
  5. Pour 1 / 2 mixture over chicken in a gallon ziplock to marinate in fridge 2-24 hours
  6. Chill remaining marinade to serve with chicken
  7. After marinating chicken
  8. Put remaining oil in frying pan
  9. Sear chicken on both sides until cooked thru
  10. Transfer chicken to a pan and brush with marinade
  11. Keep warm
  12. Meanwhile in frying pan add butter and saute mushrooms
  13. Remove from the heat
  14. Cut chicken into bite size pieces and line your ingredients up
  15. This part will go quickly ! chicken
  16. Cheese
  17. Mushrooms and bacon
  18. If you have a quesadilla maker get it heated up
  19. Otherwise
  20. Heat a frying pan and to medium heat and spread a little butter or non stick spray on the bottom
  21. Prepare tortillas by spreading a little butter on the ousides
  22. Place a tortilla
  23. Butter side down and add chicken
  24. Mushrooms
  25. Bacon and then the cheese but do not overfill
  26. Place the other tortilla on top
  27. Butter side up
  28. Flip once bottom side is golden and do the same to the remaining side
  29. Repeat until you are out of ingredients
  30. Use the remaining honey mustard for dipping
