  1. In a large stock pot
  2. Cook bacon until most of fat rendered
  3. Add onions
  4. Garlic
  5. Carrots
  6. Celery
  7. Mushrooms and cook until onions transparent
  8. Add red pepper flakes
  9. Oregano
  10. Basil and salt and pepper
  11. Add chicken stock and stewed tomatoes
  12. Bring to a boil
  13. And add pasta
  14. Cook until al dente
  15. Check for seasoning and adjust if needed
