Steps

  1. Start by melting 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium sized soup pot
  2. When melted add diced onion
  3. Celery
  4. Thyme
  5. Basil
  6. Cayenne pepper
  7. Salt and garlic
  8. Sautee vegetables for about 10 minutes until the vegetables are tender
  9. Stirring frequently
  10. Add the water
  11. Vegetable base
  12. Heavy cream
  13. And roasted red peppers into the soup pot and bring to a simmer
  14. Place the burr mixer in the soup and blend until the soup has a smooth texture
  15. Add the bay leaf and simmer for an additional 20 minutes
  16. Pick out the bay leaf to finish
