Steps

  1. Sauté
  2. Zucchini and mushrooms in oil until tender
  3. Cook ground beef and onion until browned in separate pan
  4. Drain
  5. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings
  6. Layer half each of zucchini mixture and diced green pepper in a lightly greased 13x9 pan
  7. Spoon half of ground beef mixture over vegetables
  8. Sprinkle with half of cheese
  9. Repeat layers of vegetables and ground beef
  10. Bake
  11. Uncovered
  12. At 350 for 30 minutes
  13. Sprinkle with remaining cheese
  14. And bake an additional 5 minutes
