zucchini sticks


crispy and good!! a nice side dish for any meal. this recipe came from a charleston, sc, fundraiser cookbook. quick and easy.

  1. Wash zucchini
  2. But do not peel
  3. Slice off ends
  4. Cut into lengthwise strips
  5. About 1 / 2 inch thick
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  7. Place zucchini on a paper towel
  8. Let zucchini "sweat" while you prepare your other side dishes
  9. Blot beads of water from zucchini with paper towels and proceed with recipe
  10. Roll in flour
  11. Beat egg and add one teaspoon of milk
  12. Dip in egg mixture
  13. Roll in mixture of cornmeal and flour
  14. Fry on medium heat in vegetable oil until lightly brown and crisp on all sides
  15. May shake with additional salt
  16. Enjoy !
