  1. In a large bowl
  2. Pour melted butter over oats
  3. Stir well and set aside for 10 minutes
  4. In a separate bowl
  5. Mix egg
  6. Sugar and vanilla
  7. Stir into the oat mixture
  8. Mixing well
  9. Add flour
  10. Coconut
  11. Nuts and baking powder
  12. Stir well
  13. Add to the oat mixture
  14. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto parchment-lined or ungreased baking sheets
  15. Bake at 350f for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown
  16. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks
