  1. Cream 2 tablespoons butter
  2. Beat in eggs and salt
  3. Gradually beat in flour and riced potatoes
  4. Dough should be stiff to knead thoroughly
  5. On floured board roll out dough to 1 / 4-in thickness
  6. Then cut 3-inch squares
  7. Lay 1 plum on each square
  8. Sprinkle with little cinnamon sugar and fold edges over plum
  9. Shape with hands into a ball
  10. The wall of dough should be very thin
  11. Drop dumplings into boiling salted water
  12. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes
  13. Brown bread crumbs in 1 / 3 cup hot butter
  14. Roll dumplings in buttered bread crumbs
  15. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
