i forgot that i had this recipe until someone asked about it. shaped and tastes like the suzy-q snack cakes (made by hostess)!

  1. In a large mixing bowl
  2. Beat together cake mix
  3. Water
  4. Vegetable oil and eggs until smooth
  5. Pour into a greased and floured 13" x 9" pan and bake according to the package directions
  6. When cake is cooled
  7. Remove from pan to flat surface and cut cake in half horizontally
  8. To prepare filling
  9. Cook flour and milk in a saucepan over low heat until thickened
  10. Whisking often
  11. Cool mixture completely in refrigerator
  12. While heated mixture cools
  13. Beat together sugar
  14. Crisco
  15. Salt and vanilla
  16. Add to cooled flour / milk mixture and beat until smooth and creamy
  17. Spread filling on 1 half of cake
  18. Place other half of cake on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar
  19. If desired
