my brother loves the apple pie at a bbq chain here, and the first time he tried this pie, he said it was better than the chain's pie. i use granny smith apples, but i'm sure other apples work as well. this is better warm, ooooooooozing with ice cream.
this sauce is so tasty and is great with chips or mash. i looked on zaar for a pepper steak recipe but only found stir-fry's with capsicum so i came up with my own. i have said that this recipe is for 2 servings because i have 1 steak and my fiance has 2.
my mom has been making this pie since i can remember, and now it is a staple in my kitchen. it uses quick cooking tapioca, and has a very fresh taste since you do not cook the blackberry mixture before baking. you can use fresh or frozen blackberries.
my son loves breakfast and loves to help in the kitchen. he kept asking if we could just throw everything together.. lol. and this is what we came up with. kids love it and hubby does too. its quick and easy and you can really play with it to your taste.
