i got this recipe from a college friend in the early 1970s. it's still the best molasses cookie recipe i've found. thanks, susannah, wherever you are now!

  1. Cream shortening
  2. Sugar
  3. Eggs
  4. And molasses
  5. Sift dry ingredients together
  6. Mix dry ingredients into the shortening mixture
  7. Form 1" balls of dough and roll in granulated sugar
  8. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes
