Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees f
  2. With mixer
  3. Beat butter and sugar until combined
  4. Add water and vanilla
  5. Beat well
  6. Stir in flour and nuts
  7. Shape dough into 2 1 / 2" circles
  8. Using about 1 tablespoon dough for each
  9. Top each with slightly rounded teaspoon of mincemeat
  10. Place cookies
  11. Seam side down
  12. On ungreased baking sheets
  13. Bake 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned
  14. Cool on wire racks
  15. "place confectioners sugar in plastic bag"
  16. Add cookies
  17. A few at a time
  18. And shake gently until coated
  19. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator
