this is a fun way to serve cherry pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees f
  2. In small bowl
  3. Stir together the pie filling
  4. Almonds
  5. Lemon juice
  6. And cinnamon
  7. Place 1 of the crusts on an ungreased large baking sheet
  8. Spoon half of the cherry mixture on half of this crust
  9. Then fold crust over the mixture
  10. Forming a semicircle
  11. Using back of fork
  12. Crimp the edge
  13. Repeat with the remaining crust and remaining cherry mixture
  14. Cut slits in the tops of the crusts
  15. Brush with a little milk and sprinkle with a little sugar if you like
  16. Bake for 20 minutes or until crusts are golden
  17. If the edges seem to be browning too quickly
  18. Cover with foil
  19. Serve warm
