supreme turkey divan


sure you could use one of those recipes that use cream-of-whatever' soup as a 'shortcut'...but try this one anyway, it's much nicer...just follow the directions and don't rush the process...the end result is really very good and with a tossed salad you've got a nice meal!

  1. Preheat oven to 350f
  2. In a medium saucepan whisk together the mayonnaise and flour over low heat until smooth
  3. Gradually stream in milk
  4. Whisking constantly
  5. Over med heat until the mixture is thick
  6. "add the cheddar cheese and continue stirring until its melted"
  7. Layer the broccoli and the uncooked minute rice in a 12 x 8 baking dish
  8. Top with half of the sauce
  9. Sprinkle 1 / 2 of the parmesan over the sauce
  10. Arrange the turkey slices over it next
  11. Then the remaining sauce
  12. Then the remaining parmesan
  13. Bake in the preheated 350f oven for 30-35 min or until the turkey is cooked through and the casserole is hot and bubbly
  14. "variation: use chicken in place of the turkey for chicken divan"
  15. Variation: you can use a different vegetable
  16. But as the recipe is specifically geared towards using broccoli
  17. The recipe may not come out correctly
