supreme sausage rolls


oh so simple - with a wonderful flavor of the onion and pork - just like i remember as a child

  1. Pre heat the oven to 220c
  2. Place the sausage meat into a large mixing bowl
  3. Add half the egg
  4. The diced onion
  5. Bread-crumbs and seasoning
  6. And mix well with your hands
  7. Roll out the pastry thinly
  8. Shape the sausage meat by taking a handful and rolling it between your hands a bit - and placing a long line across pastry
  9. Roll up over the meat and cut the pastry to give an overlap
  10. Brush that part with a little water
  11. Roll completely
  12. And slightly flatten
  13. Continue to do this until all the meat and pastry has been used
  14. Cut up carefully into the desired length
  15. Glaze the top with the rest of the beaten egg
  16. And snip twice with a pair of kitchen scissors to vent them
  17. Cook in hot oven for approximately 15 minutes
  18. Wonderful for parties

  21. Picnics
  22. Lovely hot or cold
