super stuffed french toast

  1. Preheat indoor grill or griddle
  2. In a medium bowl
  3. Whisk together eggs
  4. Cream
  5. Vanilla
  6. Cinnamon
  7. Pinch of salt and sugar until well combined
  8. Lay 6 slices of bread out and lightly brush egg mixture around edges
  9. Press a "pocket" in the middle of each slice of bread for the filling
  10. Heap 2 teaspoons of apple or cherry pie filling in the middle of each bread pocket
  11. Take remaining 6 slices and brush the edges with egg mixture
  12. Place on top of bread with filling and seal edges with fingers
  13. Dip stuffed bread in the egg mixture and place on sprayed griddle
  14. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes
  15. Turning once
  16. Until lightly browned
  17. Sprinkle with cinnamon and / or powdered sugar
