Steps

  1. Melt 1 / 2 cup butter in a large frypan
  2. Brown meat over medium-high heat
  3. Remove browned meat
  4. In remaining butter
  5. Saute onion for 2 minutes
  6. Add green bell pepper and mushrooms
  7. Cook an additional 3 minutes
  8. Melt 1 / 4 cup butter and add flour
  9. Slowly add beef broth
  10. Cook until thickened
  11. Stir in wine and seasonings
  12. Add meat and mushroom mixture
  13. Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour
  14. Until meat is tender
  15. Serve with buttered noodles or dumplings
