i wanted a syrup that had chunks of berries. this works great, and can be made with fresh or frozen berries.

Steps

  1. Bring berries
  2. 1 / 2 cup water and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat
  3. Stir cornstarch into remaining 1 / 2 cup cold water then stir into berry mixture
  4. Simmer for 2-4 minutes until syrup thickens
  5. Stir in maple syrup
  6. Cool
  7. This freezes very well
  8. Good with other types of berries
  9. Too
