Steps

  1. Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over low heat
  2. Add the pecans and salt and saute
  3. Stirring constantly
  4. Until the pecans start to turn brown
  5. Drain the butter into a small bowl
  6. Transfer the pecans to another bowl and let cool
  7. Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy
  8. 1 to 2 minutes
  9. Whisk in the sugar
  10. A little at a time
  11. Then continue whisking until completely blended
  12. About 1 minute more
  13. Pour in the cream and milk
  14. And whisk to blend
  15. Add the melted butter and blend
  16. "transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturers directions"
  17. After the ice cream stiffens
  18. Add the pecans
  19. Then continue freezing until done
