Steps

  1. This recipe can be made vegetarian
  2. Leave out the hamburger and add 2 cups of fresh mixed vegetables

  7. Spinach
  8. Carrots
  9. Etc
  10. Cook elbow macaroni "al dente"
  11. According to instructions on box
  12. Drain
  13. Add to large casserole
  14. Scramble fry hamburger with spanish onion and garlic
  15. If using
  16. Until no longer pink
  17. Drain any fat through colander
  18. Add drained mixture to casserole
  19. Add cheese soup
  20. No water
  21. To casserole
  22. Add tomatoes to casserole
  23. Add salt and pepper to taste
  24. Mix thoroughly
  25. In casserole
  26. To evenly distribute ingredients
  27. Spread grated or sliced cheddar evenly over top of casserole
  28. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  29. Bake
  30. Uncovered for 30 minutes or util bubbling around edges of casserole and cheese topping is melted and slightly browned
  31. Serves 4-6 or with a salad 8
