bell pepper onion quiche


i found a similar recipe online and omitted a few ingredients for my liking. i found this recipe to be so quick and easy, not to mention tasty.

  2. Heat oven to 425f place pie crust in 9-inch glass pie pan as directed on box for one-crust filled pie
  3. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or just until edge begins to brown
  4. If crust puffs up in center
  5. Gently push down with back of wooden spoon

  7. Meanwhile
  8. In large bowl
  9. Combine cheese and flour
  10. Toss to coat

  12. Saute the pepper and onion until caramelized
  13. 4
  14. Remove partially baked crust from oven
  15. Reduce oven temperature to 375f spoon cheese mixture into partially baked crust
  16. In same bowl
  17. Combine all remaining ingredients
  18. Beat until well blended
  19. Pour over cheese mixture

  21. Return to oven
  22. Bake at 375f 35 to 45 minutes longer or until filling is puffed and knife inserted in center comes out clean
  23. If necessary
  24. Cover edge of crust with strips of foil during last 15 to 20 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning
  25. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving
  26. Prebaking the crust a few minutes helps eliminate a soggy crust
