  1. Sprinkle yeast over warm milk stirring to dissolve
  2. Beat egg yolks and add to yeast mixture with vanilla
  3. Sift together flour
  4. Salt
  5. And sugar and add to liquid ingredients
  6. Stir in melted butter and combine thoroughly
  7. Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into batter
  8. Let mixture stand in a warm place about 45 minutes or until it doubles in bulk
  9. Use 1-1 / 3 cups mix per waffle in your hot waffle iron
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
