  1. Heat the oil in a soup pot
  2. Toss the beef in flour
  3. Add to the oil and brown
  4. Add the remaining ingredients
  5. Slowly
  6. Bring to a boil
  7. Reduce the heat and simmer until all ingredients are tender
  8. Serve warm with hearty bread
