beets in sour cream


this recipe comes from a little book called abc jiffy cookery. i've had it for over 50 years. i haven't tried any of the recipes yet. i'm putting them here so i can find them easier.

  1. Cook beets in water to cover until tender
  2. Drain
  3. Slip off skins and slice or cube
  4. In the top of a double boiler
  5. Mix beets
  6. Sour cream
  7. Horseradish
  8. Onion and salt
  9. Heat
  10. Stirring occasionally
  11. To serving temperature
  12. Serve garnished with the chives or parsley
