beer cheese fondue


i haven't made this in a long time but i remember it being very tasty. posted in a recipe request.

  1. Have the cheese at room temp
  2. Combine cheeses with cornstarch and mustard
  3. Toss to coat
  4. Add worcestershire and hot sauce
  5. Mix well
  6. Heat beer in a sauce pan until just warm
  7. Gradually add cheese mixture
  8. Stirring constantly over med heat until melted
  9. Quickly transfer cheese mixture to a fondue pot
  10. Place over fondue burner
  11. Spear a bread cube with a fondue fork
  12. Piercing the crust last
  13. "dip the bread into the cheese mixture
  14. Swirling to coat and to keep the mixture in motion so it doesnt set"
  15. If the mixture thickens while standing
  16. Stir in more warm beer
