don't remember where i got this one. better than other pretzel recipes i have tried.

  1. Preheat oven to 475
  2. Pour beer into a large bowl and sprinkle yeast and sugar on top and stir until dissolved
  3. Mix in flour
  4. Form a ball
  5. Knead until elastic and smooth
  6. About 10 minutes
  7. Place in a greased bowl
  8. Cover
  9. Rise till double
  10. About 1 hour
  11. Punch down
  12. Form pretzels from 1 / 4-1 / 2 diameter ropes
  13. Place on silpat lined sheets
  14. Brush with eggs and sprinkle with salt
  15. Bake 12-15 minutes
