beef with potato tagine


the sauce in this tagine is delicious. use recipe #260654 to scoop up the sauce & meat. i adapted nelady's recipe #349928 for this tagine.

  1. Mix the ingredients together for the spice mix
  2. Reserve a third of it for later use
  3. Rub the remaining mix over the beef cubes
  4. Heat the oil over medium-low heat in a tagine
  5. Brown the beef & onion for 7 minutes
  6. Stir in the water
  7. Bouillon
  8. Tomato paste
  9. 1 / 2 tsp spice mix
  10. Parsley & cilantro
  11. Cover with the lid & cook for 30 minutes
  12. Uncover the tagine
  13. Stir in the tomato & another cup of water if needed
  14. Sprinkle the potato wedges with reserve spice mix
  15. Place the potatoes on top of the meat then recover & cook for another hour
